SUN PEAKS LODGE, Sun Peaks

Sun Peaks Lodge, 65 km from Kamloops, BC, provides hotel rooms and studios. Rooms in the main building include Comfort Rooms with two queen beds and Deluxe Rooms with a king bed and jetted tub. Studios in the adjacent building offer kitchenettes and include Comfort Studios with one king bed, Comfort Studios with two queen beds, Comfort Studios with one king bed and a twin sofa bed, Deluxe Studios with one king bed and a queen sofa bed, Deluxe Studios with two queen beds in the loft, and One-Bedroom Family Suites with one king bed and two queen beds. Rooms have flat-screen TVs, seating areas, phones, and windows that open. Bathrooms feature walk-in showers with rain shower heads, handheld shower heads, safety grab bars, hairdryers, and ECO-friendly amenities.

Sun Peaks Lodge includes the Steakhouse, which offers steaks and a wine list. The Fondue Stube serves cheese, meat, and chocolate fondues. The Steakhouse focuses on quality and friendliness. Guests can buy beef, salmon, and scallops to cook with house-made beef broth, potatoes, pickles, and bbq, curry, and garlic-herb sauces. A selection of cocktails is available.

Sun Peaks provides activities, including golfing at the Sun Peaks Golf Course, which is located at 1,200 metres above sea level with the highest tee in the province at 1,333 metres. Guests can hike, explore the lift-access bike park, and paddle the lakes. The wellness area features a hot tub, sauna, and steam room, open from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.; children 15 and younger must be supervised by an adult. Ski and snowboard equipment can be stored in the ski depot. A bike storage area is available during the summer. The Platter Terrain Park offers features for various skill levels. The Sundance Express chairlift opens daily for coaches and athletes.

Sun Peaks is a 50-minute drive from Kamloops Airport, with direct flights from Vancouver and Calgary via WestJet and Air Canada. Ebus and Rider Express offer passenger bus service to Kamloops from Vancouver, Kelowna, Calgary, and Edmonton. Return service from Kamloops North Station departs on Wednesdays at 7:03 p.m. and arrives in Vancouver on Thursdays at 8:00 a.m. Sun Peaks is accessible from Osoyoos, Penticton, Kelowna, and Vernon via Highway 97 or Highway 97C and Highway 5 north from Merritt. Overflow parking is available at Parking Lot P2; EV charging is available at the Sun Peaks Centre.

Sun Peaks Lodge offers complimentary wireless internet in public areas and in each room and studio. A guest laundry with one washer and one dryer is available for a fee. Fresh towels, coffee, and bathroom amenities are available at the front desk. McSporties and District Bicycle Company provide retail and rental/repair services for skiing equipment during winter and bike rental/repair in summer.
